UPCYCLE the Design competition for value addition to used clothes an initiative of Samrambhak Mithra an NGO in SME Sector completed and awards declared. Sri K Sudhir, Director of Handloom and Textiles, Govt. of Kerala announced the winners and distributed the cash awards online. Sri C Sankaranarayanan, Chairman, Samrambhak Mithra Presided over the function. Prof. R.S Jayadeep, NIFT Kannur, Smt. Mukthi Sumangala, Asst. Prof. NIFT, Kannur, Smt. Hiba Mariam, Founder ‘Suee’, Smt. Jiggna Shah, Textile Value Chain, Mumbai, Sri. ShajiKumar, Vice Chairman, Samrambhak Mithra, , Adv. K Chandran, Board Member, Samrambhak Mithra spoke. The Jury of designers selected best three designs from 42 designs received from institutions and individuals across Kerala.
